Pat Burrell hit one over the fence and had 4 RBI at the ballpark as the St.
Paul Saints beat the dreadful California Gangsta Luv by the count of 8 to
1.
The California fans didn't appreciate the big day Burrell had. He bombed a
two-run dinger (his 16th of the season) in the 1st inning and doubled
bringing in two baserunners in the 7th inning. St. Paul had 10 hits for the
afternoon while California had 7.
The victory was credited to Jason Marquis(6-13) who went 6 and 2/3 innings,
allowing 1 run. Edwin Jackson(5-7) was the losing pitcher. He was knocked
around pretty good, giving up 7 runs in 6 and 2/3 innings.
St. Paul now has a record of 48-79. California has a record of 45-82, worst
in the division after the loss.
